В экспериментах установлено, что пищевая депривация в течение 9 дней со свободным доступом к воде сопровождается потерей 24% массы тела и вызывает гипертрофию надпочечников и инволюцию тимуса. При этом наблюдалось стадийное изменение показателей белкового, углеводного и жирового обмена, связанное со сменой энергетических субстратов. </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>A series of studies performed on 29 male Wistar rats found that food deprivation for 9 days with free access to water is accompanied by a loss of 24% in body weight, while causing hypertrophy of the adrenal glands and involution of the thymus.
